PolicyKit.conf supports <match user="username"> and <match action="action.id">. However, PolicyKit.conf does not support any means of matching on groups. Often, a group will have permission to perform a given action, rather than simply a fixed list of users. If PolicyKit.conf supports matching on groups, this information can remain in just one place, /etc/group. I propose adding a new attribute to the <match> element to match on groups: <match group="groupname">.
