Yes,
I thing, switching to the kismet newcore would be good idea. I have it
already instaled (by my own simple .deb package) and tested under Lenny.
Besides, if you will have your fingers on it, I would very appreciate
inclusion of a lightweight, almost independent "kismet_drone" binary
package into standard repository.
More advanced split like: kismet_client (UI dependecies),
kismet_server (wireshark, etc), kismet_drone and kismet metapackage
would be amazing!
