I think you misunderstand, it's a warning that shouldn't be
there.  I don't claim that it's an error (it's the install
process for munin-node that makes that claim).

That's fine, but as you can see from the installation log, I'm
not asked about any plugins, I just get a nonsensical warning
that shouldn't be there.  I could understand your response if
I was trying to install a plugin requiring python.

Either python should be a requirement, or the warning should
not happen; whether this is done by silencing the warning or
making sure that the plugin isn't installed is of no
consequence to me or other users, I suppose.

Plugins requiring python should probably be in separate
packages with separate dependencies, just as you imply, but
that clearly isn't the case for munin-node.
