I know about that utility (you told me ;)), but I would prefer to update all the translations only once the english texts are stable. I am currently doing small incremental updates to the package. Of course I could do that in experimental, but few users/developers will check the new version that way. Therefore, I am uploading to unstable, but I would like to reduce the number of translation updates. Is there any documentation online about "best practices" using podebconf-report-po and friends? That would bring the turn around times down quite a bit and I favor the "release early, release often" principle. Especially since the time I can spend on Debian is not predictable it is quite helpful to upload a batch as soon as I consider it ready, at least with so much time left for the next release.
