Well, it seems there is a way to work around this bug, and as far as we
can tell with the setup we've got here: without negative consequences.
In /etc/powerdns/pdns.conf:
master=no
It seemed logical to us to enable the master mode, since we are running
a master-master setup, but disabling this setting got rid of the crash.
Everything else seems to run fine, so I'm happy.
