Confirmed, this depends however on your locale. In Dutch it is even
worse, because more characters need a "two-key", but then again, less
words need accents.

Not sure what you got, but I just got the letter without the accent.

I will investigate if this is an upstream bug, or a bug in the lesstif2
library.
