I will consider this. What I actually want to do is to upload 3.9 beta with some patches to unstable. As far as I can tell, the version of tiff on the 3.9 branch in CVS is basically ready to release. 3.9.0 beta as previously released is not binary compatible with 3.8.2, which is why I have never uploaded it anywhere, but what is currently in CVS is compatible and is probably overall more stable than 3.8.2. I'm actually more interested in uploading 4.0.0 beta to experimental.
