Package: fam Version: 2.7.0-14 Upon running /etc/init.d/fam restart, an error message occurs:
Stopping file alteration monitor: FAM. FAM is not running failed! Starting file alteration monitor: FAM. This is related to the fix for #377039. The initscript now stops the process, then runs status_of_proc before attempting to restart the daemon. Everything works fine, although status_of_proc (correctly) complains that fam is not running at that stage. This bug has no effect on the system, but may create concern amongst users.
