I downloaded the source with
$ apt-get source pidgin
Then I've installed the build dependencies with
$ apt-get build-dep pidgin
After all that I changed to pidgin-2.4.3 directory and issued the following
command:
$ dpkg-buildpackage -uc -us -rfakeroot
After a bunch of successful compilations dpkg-buildpackage exits with the
following error:
