I did already know that still using libsensors3 is not an optimal solution - sorry for not documenting that anywhere :-/ > The fix is to change dependency to libsensors4-dev but it conflicts with > libsensors-dev which libsnmp-dev depends. That's the reason why I did not switch to libsensors4 yet. > For me having working libsensors is more important than snmp plugin so > "this works" Not providing the "snmp" plugin at all is not an option for me and I cannot think of a way to work around that problem since that would require something like building the "sensors" plugin separately and using different build-dependencies which is not possible without introducing another source package (which is not an option). > I'd guess it would be nice to have libsnmp-dev to depend on > libsensors4-dev (#518898). This is quite unfortunate - that bug against net-snmp is open since March and did not even get any attention so far. I actually looks like that package would need some more love - the last upload happened in December and there are currently three open RC bugs :-/ With the commands at the top of this E-mail, I've recorded that this bug is blocked by #518898. I'm going to ping the net-snmp maintainers and hope that someone will take care of the problem soon.
