uname -a: Date: 2005-07-11 12:30 Method: created a boot CD with the cd image. Boot from CD. Machine: AMD Duron 1300 - VIA KT7 Processor: AMD Duron 1300 Memory: 512 MB Root Device: Root Size/partition table: Output of lspci and lspci -n: Base System Installation Checklist: [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Initial boot worked: [E] Configure network HW: [ ] Config network: [ ] Detect CD: [ ] Load installer modules: [ ] Detect hard drives: [ ] Partition hard drives: [ ] Create file systems: [ ] Mount partitions: [ ] Install base system: [ ] Install boot loader: [ ] Reboot: [ ] Comments/Problems: If you press "enter" at boot CD prompt or type "install", the installation process does not start. The problem is that the file "/isolinux/isolinux.cfg" has kernel references to "/install/2.6/linux", but there is no such kernel image. In fact, if you manually insert "/install/2.6/vmlinuz" followed by the appropriate "append", the installation process starts correctly. No problem for "install24". -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
