Package: davfs2 Severity: normal
Wanting to mount WebDAV URLs as a normal user, I read README.Debian (which needs to be re-wrapped, BTW) and ran dpkg-reconfigure, selecting "Yes". However, I then could not work out how to mount as a user. If I called mount.davfs URL PATH then it complained that URL was not mentioned in /etc/fstab. If I called mount -t davfs URL PATH it complained "Only root can do this". What am I supposed to do? (I worked around the problem this time with sudo...) I am using 1.3.3-3, but README.Debian, at least, has not changed in the latest sid package. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages davfs2 depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.24 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries pn libneon27 <none> (no description available) davfs2 recommends no packages. davfs2 suggests no packages. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
