I did and that worked well:
previous:
debian-edu-lenny-manual.fr.po: 447 translated messages, 279 fuzzy
translations, 232 untranslated messages.
now:
debian-edu-lenny-manual.fr.po: 786 translated messages, 150 fuzzy
translations, 174 untranslated messages.
I used this command:
msgcat --use-first debian-edu-etch/debian-edu-etch-manual.fr.po
debian-edu-lenny/debian-edu-lenny-manual.fr.po >merged.po
> Then merge with the POT file:
> msgmerge --previous merged.po <whatever_it_is_named>.pot
mv merged.po debian-edu-lenny/debian-edu-lenny-manual.fr.po
and then the 2nd command didnt work:
$ msgmerge --previous debian-edu-lenny-manual.fr.po
<debian-edu-lenny-manual.pot
msgmerge: exactly 2 input files required
Try `msgmerge --help' for more information.
I haven't commited these changes to svn yet and am awaiting your advice :-)
