Package: emacs22-common Version: 22.3+1-1.1 Severity: normal Tags: patch Hello,
I found that fill-paragraph (and/or fill-region) often run over the fill-column. In fact, this behavior is different from auto-fill-mode. The problem in question and the solution (patch) are available at: http://emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=3234 The file should be patched is "lisp/textmodes/fill.el". In the case of Emacs23, thanks for packaging it, the offset may be 719 instead of 713. Would you take a look at that patch?, and hopefully import it if possible. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (50, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages emacs22-common depends on: ii dpkg 1.15.3.1 Debian package management system ii emacsen-common 1.4.19 Common facilities for all emacsen emacs22-common recommends no packages.
