fc-cache should only run once per dpkg/apt installation session. it should wait until dpkg/apt has exited before regenerating the font cache etc....otherwise, it ends up doing the excruciatingly long and slow process every time a font is installed. it would be better to do it just once for multiple fonts. when executed, it should: if fc-cache is already running, exit. if apt/dpkg is running, sleep for 30 seconds. repeat until they have exited. craig -- craig sanders <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (part time cyborg) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
