Package: dpkg
Version: 1.15.3.1
Severity: normal

When I had an aborted install:

Preparing to replace kdebase-runtime 4:4.2.4-2 (using .../kdebase-runtime_4%3a4$
Unpacking replacement kdebase-runtime ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/kdebase-runtime_4%3a4.3.0-1_i386$
trying to overwrite `/usr/bin/keditfiletype', which is also in package kcontrol
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)

there was no report of the version of kcontrol which had the conflicting file.

I had to manually report the version:

The version of kcontrol installed is 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-2

Shouldn't this version information be reported automatically by dpkg which
makes it easier to report in reportbug?
