Xiphos is a Bible study software for GNOME. It facilitates digital text reading with bookmarks, full text search and parallel view of alternative or translated versions of the same text. . In addition it allows to keep personal per-verse notes. For larger commentary there is also dedicated rich-text study pad. Personal commentary supports spell checking and can also be searched. . Xiphos uses digital text distributed as modules from the SWORD Project. It supports Sword Bibles, Commentary, Lexicon and General Book modules. It has build in facility to browse remote repository of freely distributed modules and install them. . Other software that uses SWORD Project modules are: bibletime, biblememorizer and bibledit. -- With best regards Dmitrijs Ledkovs (for short Dima), Ледков Дмитрий Юрьевич -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
