Are you sure udev is not just deactivated? I think Marco set it up so that udev detects whether or not 2.6.12 is running, and if it's not (like in your case 2.6.11) it just stops. Well, that's how I understood it at least. Personally I had to temporarily downgrade to sarge's udev, seeing as I was getting more problems (sbp2 problems) - at least until 2.6.12 enters debian. -- M
