Package: mc Version: 1:4.6.0-4.6.1-pre3-3 Severity: wishlist
I would like to propose a filter for viewing GNU binary message catalogs (MO) files. The following lines could be placed somewhere in mc.ext: # Gettext Catalogs shell/.mo View=%view{ascii} msgunfmt %f || cat %f This will display the strings contained in the message catalog, if the gettext package is installed. If msgunfmt is not available, a harmless warning will be displayed. I have put the above lines in my ~/.mc/bindings, and I find it rather nice. :-) -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.31 Locale: LANG=de_DE, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages mc depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libglib2.0-0 2.6.4-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgpmg1 1.19.6-19sarge1 General Purpose Mouse - shared lib -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
