That makes sense; since the version information gets embedded in
the package name, and the package name has restrictions.
Unfortunately, I do not think it solves the original issue, but
there is no harm in checking. Klause, could you please attach your
.config file, and also /etc/kernel-pkg.conf, to eliminate this class of
potential causes?
