Bonobo would have to be disabled at compile time. But then I think some things wouldn't work for apps that use bonobo. It would still be nice if it would not depend on GNOME libs, especially as it is meant to be used primarily in the KDE desktop. Also bonobo is deprecated by GNOME. So if there's a simple way to make it optional, please do so. Otherwise it's probably not worth the trouble and we have to just wait until bonobo dies out.
