After the last "apt-get dist-upgrade", which brought in the X.org X server, nedit fails to start, and instead gives the following error message: X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) Major opcode of failed request: 70 (X_PolyFillRectangle) Serial number of failed request: 314 Current serial number in output stream: 324 A workaround is to download and use the nedit binaries from www.nedit.org, which does not exhibit this behaviour.
