Package: fglrx-atieventsd Version: 1:9-8-1 Severity: normal
I've been looking into the dependency based boot system. Unfortunately, fglrx-atieventsd which contains /etc/init.d/fglrx-driver makes insserv bomb out with an 'obsolete conffile left behind'. info: Checking if it is safe to convert to dependency based boot. error: Obsolete conffile /etc/init.d/fglrx-driver left behind by package fglrx-atieventsd info: Please check out this manually. info: Refusing to convert boot sequence until this is fixed info: See http://wiki.debian.org/LSBInitScripts/DependencyBasedBoot info: for more information on how to solve these issues. Most likely, info: it is a bug in the binary package with the init.d script in info: question, and not with insserv. error: Unable to enable dependency based boot system. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30.5 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages fglrx-atieventsd depends on: ii fglrx-glx 1:9-8-1 proprietary libGL for the non-free ii libc6 2.9-25 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 7.5-3 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libx11-6 2:1.2.2-1 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxrandr2 2:1.3.0-2 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.4-2 X Rendering Extension client libra ii xserver-xorg 1:7.4+4 the X.Org X server Versions of packages fglrx-atieventsd recommends: ii fglrx-driver 1:9-8-1 non-free AMD/ATI r6xx - r7xx displ fglrx-atieventsd suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
