Package: oprofile
Version: 0.9.4+cvs20090629-2
Severity: normal

I recently wanted to try out LLVM's Oprofile support
committed here:
http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20090713/081229.html

However it doesn't work, I see this in oprofiled.log:
Failed to exec opjitconv: No such file or directory
JIT dump processing exited abnormally: 1

This is due to the following Debian rule:
        # Remove the java profile
        rm debian/oprofile/usr/bin/opjitconv

Can opjitconv be provided in oprofile, or in a separate package?
Is there any reason it is removed?
It breaks JIT oprofile agents in general, not just java.
