This is a obviously pretty late response:
Every user is able to hide his identity without forcing a ident
response by setting the following stanza in ~/.oidentd.conf
global {
hide
}
A succesful response looks now like:
Sep 3 18:45:33 office oidentd[30658]: Connection from
ircneu.rrze.uni-erlangen.de (131.188.12.138):51548
Sep 3 18:45:33 office oidentd[30658]: [ircneu.rrze.uni-erlangen.de]
58393 , 6667 : HIDDEN-USER (sb)
I will close this bug in 3 days if you do not provide further
informations.
