Package: gstreamer0.8-ffmpeg Version: 0.8.5-1 Severity: important The gstreamer-ffmpeg plugin fails to register on a gst-register. The only mention of ffmpeg in /var/lib/gstreamer/0.8/registry.xml is of ffmpegcolorspace. Trying to play .avis whose video ffmpeg should be able to take care of results in only an audio stream in totem-gstreamer.
A couple notes...
