Package: debdelta Version: 0.32 Severity: important Hello, thanks for fixing #544784 but the cache should be used better. For example
$ sudo debdelta-upgrade ... 48% (3939/s) bzr_1.16.1-1_1.18-1_amd64.debdelta $ ls -1 /var/cache/apt/archives/bzr* /var/cache/apt/archives/bzr_1.15-1_amd64.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/bzr_1.16.1-1_amd64.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/bzr_1.16-1_amd64.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/bzr_1.17-1_amd64.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/bzr_1.17~rc1-1_amd64.deb $ apt-show-versions bzr bzr/unstable upgradeable from 1.16.1-1 to 1.18-1 In the cache there is a more updated package than the one installed, so debdelta should use that (but check if it's a complete package, not a partial download) while downloading the delta. Since I suppose deltas for more up-to-date packages are smaller than with older one, and the aim of debdelta is to download less bytes, I've set the severity to "important", but feel free to downgrade.
