Hi, I got the following error each 10 seconds in my syslog with Debian Sid:
usb 1-6: usbfs: interface 0 claimed by usbfs while 'usb' sets config #1 I read that the issue was introduced by cups 1.4. I tried to downgrade to 1.3: the usbfs issue was fixed, but the printer didn't work. So I reinstalled cups 1.4, but I did something wrong because even printing a test page displays a "unknown format" error... (and /var/log/cups/error_log contains strange errors) I removed completly most cups packages (especially the server, and some liband /etc/cups/*, and reinstalled the last version cups. My printer works again now! I don't think that the problem is related to the kernel module (because I think that usblp wasn't loaded, but I'm not sure), but maybe related to cups configuration (/etc/cups/*). During the upgrade, cups 1.3 => 1.4, I choosed to keep my configuration. It was maybe my mistake. -- Victor Stinner http://www.haypocalc.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected]
