Package: svgatextmode Version: 1.9-21 Installation of svgatextmode forces removal of console-tools and forces installation of kbd, even if kbd-compat is installed. svgatextmode works just fine with console-tools, if suitably configured. The "Depends" section of the package currently says,
Depends: kbd (>= 1.12-18), libc6 (>= 2.7-1) Perhaps this should say Depends: kbd (>= 1.12-18) | console-tools (>= 1:0.2.3dbs-65.1), libc6 (>= 2.7-1) Better yet, remove both kbd and console-tools from the "Depends" section and add them to the "Recommends" section. Strictly speaking, neither package is required if the "LoadFont" option is not set in /etc/TextConfig.
