yes .. well, pterm and xterm were also slow in updating line by line, so I decided to do another upgrade today, and pulled in xorg-core-something-or-other which had been held back by apt from the previous upgrade for reasons which are opaque to me, and rebooted into kernel 2.6.30 instead of 2.6.26 (since X complained about something related to kernels before 2.6.28 when I launched it from a tty to see what was up ...) and everything to be running much more smoothly now. > Your message has been sent to the package maintainer(s): > Muammar El Khatib <[email protected]> > > If you wish to submit further information on this problem, please > send it to [email protected].
