I will work on uploading a file soon. Using this command, totem plays the file.
$ gst-launch-0.10 playbin2 uri=file:///home/mark/Desktop/100_0817.mov Whether I click on the file from nautilus, use $totem filename, or use the open function from inside totem, the player just sits there as though I had not asked it to do anything. The time indicator shows stopped 00:00 / 00:00 and the properties side bar information is grayed out saying unknown and duration 0 seconds. Mark
