Package: pppoeconf
Version: 1.18
Severity: serious
pppoeconf is launched this way in /usr/share/applications/pppoeconf.desktop :
Exec=/usr/sbin/pppoeconf
This would work if someone would run as root, but otherwise this opens a
console which prints
Privilèges du superutilisateur indispensables
Veuillez valider pour continuer...
In English, that would be
$ LANG=C /usr/sbin/pppoeconf
Please become root before running pppoeconf!
Press return to continue...
pppoeconf then exits. The desktop file does not indicate anywhere the
requirement to run as superuser. This makes the menu item basically useless.
You can see synaptic for an example of how to do menu items requiring root
privileges (but note that synaptic has bug 532322).
