Thanks!I certainly agree with dropping the loal copy of d-devlibdeps - I was the one proposing to Junichi to add that command line option, libshout simply haven't been updated much since then so I haven't gotten around to use it yet.
I expect to look into this in a few days (when I return from this lovely mini-debconf in Taiwan).
Please do ping me if anyone stumbles across this bug untouch for more than a week: Then I got distracted from it :-/
