the Gossip development was completely halted about a year ago. Empathy has now now the focus for GNOME development about instant messaging. Now that it has reached a point where it is more usable and more integrated than Gossip, there is no point keeping Gossip around. Please remove gossip from unstable. Thanks, -- .''`.
