Package: dlocate Version: 0.5-0.1 Severity: normal
Hello, the dpkg package no longer provides /usr/bin/md5sum (since 1.13.2?). Instead, the version from coreutils /usr/bin/md5sum.textutils is used, which does not understand the "-v" option: # dlocate -md5check gdm md5sum: invalid option -- v Try `md5sum --help' for more information. When the "-v" option is removed, the result looks sensible, although the output format looks a bit different, as it now uses ":". # dlocate -md5check gdm | head /usr/share/locale/af/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK /usr/share/locale/am/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK /usr/share/locale/ar/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK /usr/share/locale/az/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK /usr/share/locale/be/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK /usr/share/locale/bg/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK /usr/share/locale/bn/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK /usr/share/locale/bs/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK /usr/share/locale/ca/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK /usr/share/locale/cs/LC_MESSAGES/gdm.mo: OK Best regards Matthias Ferdinand -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-2-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages dlocate depends on: ii dpkg 1.13.10 Package maintenance system for Deb ii grep-dctrl 2.6.7 Grep Debian package information ii perl 5.8.7-4 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction dlocate recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
