Dear sparc porters,

the samtools package contains a program that is intended to be use with large
biological datasets. It was never built with success on sparc, because the
regression tests I implemented (taken from Upstream's example directory) are
failing with a ‘Bus error‘. I just reported this on the upstream mailing list.
Please let me know or contact Upstream directly if you have interest to work on
this issue.

Have a nice day,
