Indeed. There ought to be no dependency of boost-dev on boost-python-dev, but such a dependency was inadvertently introduced (#548503). I added the package dependency as a workaround for the build failures. Recently, Sune Vuorela provided a cleaner fix for the problem (#550006) which I'll likely adopt and that will fix this bug as well. Regards, -Steve
