Note: an effective workaround is to set the environment variable
GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS to 1 before starting emacs.
Note to future google searchers: you can do this by running
"GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1 emacs" or, in bash, by "export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1;
emacs". Some keywords: emacs buffers menu doesn't work, dynamically generated
menus broken.
