confirm this bug in firefox 1.0.5-1 and a solution to this bug 1. backup your bookmark 2. sudo aptitude purge mozilla-firefox 3. sudo rm -rf /etc/mozilla-firefox 4. rm -rf ~/.mozilla 5. sudo aptitude install mozilla-firefox 6. firefox Don't import any thing. I don't know whether every step is necessary, but this works for me. Some other bugs also disappeared, for example, I couldn't install extension for https URL(only can install from http URL or local file) .
