Hello Mark, there's a script called "zless" that tries to provide a wrapper around less for viewing gzip compressed files (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=248302) It doesn't work when input is comming from stdin, because less does not run the input preprocessor in such a case. zless would work tho, if less would run the preprocessor with the filename set to "-".
Do you think, this could be enabled in less? Thanks, Thomas -- 5 GB Mailbox, 50 FreeSMS http://www.gmx.net/de/go/promail +++ GMX - die erste Adresse fr Mail, Message, More +++ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
