almost happy with your proposal, just one thing:

"This allows it to cache content effectively, and makes it easy for an
administrator to change repository later."

This is misleading because the term "repository" is not perfectly clear.
Background: In the current terminology, "a cache repository" is (optionally)
configured to use a specific mirror server. I.e. the admin does not change the
repository, she selects a different mirror which a "cache repository"
points to for downloading.

Maybe something like this would be better:

This allows it to cache content more effectively, and makes it easy for an
administrator to switch to another mirror server later.
