What do you mean by "hangs up"? Are you using a phone to talk to gdmflexiserver? If you mean that your keyboard stops responding, the problem is most likely that you've modified /etc/inittab to add additional getty processes. You can't have a getty and gdm on the same tty, and the kernel allows it, but as soon as it happens, your keyboard goes dead.
