When configuration of ocs server is bad, apache log contains: «[... 2009] [error] [client ....] Failed to open log file : Permission denied\n». This error is inaccurate and does not help the user of the apache log file. Using strace on apache, I disvovered that apache/ocs tries to open /ocsinventory-NG.log in the filesystem root. The error should be: «[... 2009] [error] [client ....] Failed to log to /ocsinventory-NG.log» As I do not know how to change destination of the log file, I create /ocsinventory-NG.log with chmod 777. Then ocs works fines, with dirty log in filesystem root.
