Hdfview should depend on java-wrappers, since /usr/bin/hdfview uses /usr/lib/java-wrappers/java-wrappers.sh from the java-wrappers package. Sample execution of hdfview: $ hdfview ..: 7: Can't open /usr/lib/java-wrappers/java-wrappers.sh $ echo $? 2 Hdfview is thus unusable unless java-wrappers is also installed. PS.
