The Wine build did not fail on amd64. The configure messages are just warnings. Perhaps you meant that Wine was built without support for openal. Yes, but the lack of a 32-bit openal on amd64 isn't something the Wine package can fix. There would be 3 solutions to this kind of thing: 1) The OpenAL package could perhaps build a 32-bit version of itself on amd64 (probably unlikely to happen) 2) The ia32-libs package could ship the 32-bit version of OpenAL, just like it ships almost everything else Wine needs; once that's done, the next upload of Wine would automatically be built with OpenAL support. (File a bug on ia32-libs for that) 3) Debian could finally start supporting multiarch. (Still waiting on that...) Of course, the same applies to gsm, mpg123, and such. The configure warning about libhal/libdbus is probably also a bug in ia32-libs, although ia32-libs does contain dbus and hal. Probably one of the symlinks needed to build against them are missing or broken. From a quick look, I think it's the libdbus.so symlink that's missing there. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected]
