That doesn't sound right and I can't reproduce that here. Can you for a
start send me the output of
grep "\$plugins\[[0-9]\+\]" $SM_CONFIG | cut -d "'" -f2
and
dpkg -l | egrep "(squirrelmail|avelsieve)"
