Package: qpsmtpd
Version: 0.30-1

This is a premptive bug filing by the package maintainer, for anyone who
encounters the issue. v0.30-1 of the qpsmtpd package will emit an error much
like this one when installed via APT:

Preconfiguring packages ...
mktemp: cannot create temp file /etc/qpsmtpd/.tmp.debconf-settings.2135.F015oe:
No such file or directory
qpsmtpd failed to preconfigure, with exit status 1

This was induced by a discrepancy in my testing (I tested the debconf setup
with dpkg but not with APT, and they handle package configuration slightly
differently.) It will be fixed in 0.30-2, which is prepared but has not been
uploaded (as of this writing, ftp-master was down.) Anyone wishing to try out
the new packages can find them at <http://devin.com/debian/>.

The error is mostly harmless; to compensate for it, after installing qpsmtpd
with APT, run 'dpkg-reconfigure qpsmtpd' and configure normally. You can also
avoid the issue by downloading the deb and installing it directly with dpkg.
