I analyzed more precisely this bug. It is linked to activation of the dual screen of Xorg. To activate dual screen I use "xrandr" with the following command : xrandr --output VGA2 --right-of DVI0 When I open the window "Appearance Preferences" without having activated the dual screen, the bug does not occur. The bug only happens when I open the window "Appearance Preferences" after activating the dual screen. However, if I enable the dual screen, then I kill "gnome-settings-daemon", then the system restarts "gnome-settings-daemon" automatically. I can then access to the window "Appearance Preferences" without bug. For information I use the Xorg package version 1.7.3 20 and libxrandr2 version 2:1.2.3-1 (I use Lenny). -- Vincent BOURGEOIS -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
