Hi Jonas.
I'm not sure whether this is a bug, or I'm doing something wrong.
I've tried to use strange characters in crypttab and see what happens:
- ,
not really usable, as it serves as separator in conf/conf.d/cryptroot
(perhaps one could improve that at some point)
- space, tab, newline
obviously not usable, as they serve as entry/fiel separator
- " and '
It seems that these are not used as quote characters neither if one
only has one "/' nor if one have two "foo"/'foo'
- \
Seems to retain it's special meaning as quoting character sometimes,..
but sometimes not (which is my "bug" in this report).
Details:
\\ Seems to always mean "quoted \" and results in just "\"
\t, \n, etc. seems to be sometimes retain it's special meaning
(tab/newline) namely when conf/conf.d/cryptroot is written, but
sometimes not, namely in that CRYPTTAB_KEY environment varialbe (and
probably others, too).
Perhaps this should be more homogeneous.
Any ideas?
