Unfortunately you have patched the old version while
reporting it against a newer version, so i am not sure
if the typo (?) applies to the old or new version of the french
manpage as the manpage system has seen a great improvement
in 0.7.24: We have now po4a and a new french translation. :)

So in short: You only need to patch the english xml files
(and maybe the language po files - i am currently working
 on switching the other languages to po files, so the next
 upload should be po4a-only in this aspect).

"We" discuss this issue also currently in #554773 and the
out-coming is in my eyes that we really should clarify it.
So feel free to "rebase" the patch against the new version
and add more explanations. :)
